Present: Mike Banick (Director, Millburn), Larry Bergmann (Trustee, Livingston) Kathy Cannarozzi (Director, Rochelle Park), Patricia Durso (Executive Administrator, Allendale & committee co-chairman), Dave Hanson (Executive Director, BCCLS), Jenifer May (Director, Secaucus), Tom Madru (Trustee, Park Ridge & committee co-chairman), John Mongelli (Trustee, Ho-Ho-Kus), Mike Violano (Trustee, Westwood,) and Peter Wendrochowicz (Trustee, Mahwah).

  1. Call to Order:

The meeting was called to order at 10:03 AM by Tom Madru

  • Approval of Minutes from Previous Meeting

Mr. Wendrychowicz made a motion to approve the minutes of the April 21st meeting. Ms. Durso seconded the motion with amendments. Mr. Mongelli made a motion to approve the minutes with Ms. Durso’s amendments. Mr. Madru seconded and the motion to approve was passed.

  • Discussion of new meeting procedures:

Ms. Durso explained that in an effort to be mindful of everyone’s time, meetings would be kept to an hour and we would follow the agenda items in sequence.

  • Old Business:
  • Action Items for What’s Your Pandemic Plan: Staffing and Legal Issues
    • Review of Mark Ruderman’s participation
      • Mr. Banick  reported that Mr. Ruderman will have two other attorneys from his office participate. He also stated the bio in our flier was fine and that he will not have handouts as he would like the program to be more Q&A than lecture. He will provide contact info.
    • Status of Registered Participants
      • Mr. Banick reported we have over 160 participants and that we had sent over 65 questions we received from participants to Mr Ruderman. Mr. Hanson reported we have received registrations from MAIN and PALS Plus. We also received a registration from the Director of the Princeton Library.
    • Program’s Sequence of Events
      • Mr Madru reviewed the program’s sequence of events.
        • Ms. Durso will do introductions 1-2 minutes
        • Mr.Hanson will say a few words 1-2 minutes
        • Mr. Ruderman and his team will present for as much time as they need
        • Q&A for as many questions as they have to answer
        • Mr. Madru will present the closing remarks 1-2 minutes
  • Technology Status
    • Ms. Cannarozzi reported she had purchased an update from Zoom to accommodate more than 100 participants. She will create a link to the webinar which she will send to Ms. Swistock who will email it to all participants.
    • Ms. Cannarozzi asked for some technical help on setting up a webinar and since Mr. Banick had been on one yesterday, he volunteered to help her after the meeting.
    • Mr. Bergmann asked about addressing questions during the presentation and Mr. Banick said we they could ask them through the Q&A button on the bottom of their screen. As moderator, Mr. Banick said he could review them as they come in and pass them on if they were new.
    • Mr. Banick suggested a practice webinar for 11:00 AM today for anyone who could attend.
  • New Business

We discussed the NJLTA presentation which was held on the 27th of April.

  • Mr. Violano stated he felt it was very informative.
  • Mr Wendrychowicz expressed disappointment that Mr. Ceroe was unable to answer all the questions. Mr. Violano agreed that he did not have all the answers, but he was at least up front about not knowing them.
  • Ms. Durso stated Mr. Cerone had a lot ot cover and he went at warp speed.and that could act as a barometer as to how much information we have to present in 75 minutes.
  • Mr. Wendrychowicz stated Mr. Cerone’s PowerPoint slides would be made available.

  • Mr. Banick and Ms. Cannarozzi will meet to have a session on Zoom preparation.
  • There will be a Zoom practice session at 11:00AM today for those who can attend.
  • Ms Cannarozzi will prepare a link for the webinar and will send it to Ms Swistock for distribution to seminar participants
  • Ms. Swistock will send the seminar link and sign-in instructions to all participants.
