Please join us for the 2024 BCCLS Friends Brunch! This event raises money for the BCCLS Scholarship Fund and will feature Patrice McDonough of Murder by Lamplight as our keynote speaker.

To purchase your tickets, fill out the reservation form and return it along with your payment to the BCCLS office or register online.

A portion of the price of each ticket to the Friends Breakfast goes directly to the Scholarship Fund. In addition, you can also support the Scholarship Fund in any of the following ways:

  • Donate a basket. As always, baskets and other prizes for our “Tricky Tray” are deeply appreciated. Donations can be dropped off at the following locations: BCCLS Office, the Hasbrouck Heights Public Library, or the Paramus Public Library. Please email friendschairs@bccls.org to make drop-off arrangements or arrange for a pick-up. Baskets can also be brought to our September System Council meeting. Hosted by the Friends of the Free Public Library of Hasbrouck Heights. All proceeds go to the BCCLS Scholarship Fund.
  • Donate a Gift Card. In order to make this fundraiser work, we need a variety of gift cards for retailers and restaurants with locations in Northern NJ (or online shopping.) Gift cards should be $20 or more in value. Stores and restaurants with more than one location are especially helpful for this type of fundraiser.
  • 50/50 Raffle. This year we will be conducting a 50/50 Raffle pull at the Friends Brunch. Half of the amount raised goes to the Scholarship Fund and the other half goes to the raffle winner.
  • Make a Monetary Donation. Last, but most certainly not least, monetary donations made directly to the BCCLS Scholarship Fund are always a wonderful way to show your support for this very important cause.

If you have any questions about purchasing tickets for the Friends Breakfast or about making a donation of any kind, please contact the Friends Committee Chairs at friendschairs@bccls.org.

We hope you’ll join us again this year for fun, for friendship, and for supporting our next generation of wonderful librarians.

Thank you,
Friends Committee Chairs
